Hope Elementary

Why all the forms?

We require verification of residency as a way to establish your legal right to attend our school. Many parents want their student to attend Hope, but don't have a legal right to attend.  If you know of someone who does not live within the Carlsbad Unified School District boundary, please let us know so we can correct their deceptive practice. A good education should not start with compromising a person's integrity. Thank you.

Here's a link to an article about a school district that had to turn to the court system to enforce their residency requirements.  This woman received jail time for using deceptive practices to register her students in school.

Once you have turned in all required documents to the school office, you will receive information via email to set up your parent portal where you will be able to see your child’s data and make any future changes to contact information.

This information will be coming to you in August.  Be prepared though, to have two proofs of residency (i.e. SDG&E and water bills BEFORE you pay them, we need to see the top & bottom halves). We ask that you make copies to streamline the registration process. Thank you in advance!!
