First Lego League Jr.

Hope Elementary is starting a
FLL Junior Program for students Grade 1-3

The program focuses on building interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through a real-world challenge – to be solved by research, critical thinking, and imagination. In this year’s AQUA ADVENTURE Challenge, more than 40,000 children around the globe will explore and research one of the most important resources of our planet: water!

Program at a glance

  • Open to students Grades 1-3 (all skill levels are welcome)

  • 12 week program, starting on 3/15 through 6/7 (no class during spring break)

  • Team meetings every Thursdays from 1:30-3:00 pm

  • Cost per student: $195 (registration at  2018 Hope FLL Jr Registration )

  • Students learn to build and program models using LEGO® Education WeDo

  • Students showcase their hard work and celebrate their achievements during the Expo on 6/11 (together with Magnolia and Calavera Elementary, hosted at ViaSat)

  • The program is looking for volunteer coaches to guide and mentor the teams
