Some people dream of success... while others wake up and work hard at it. ~Author Unknown

Your student has new standards to master! The Common Core State Standards offer schools, teachers, students and parents clear, understandable, and consistent standards in English language arts and mathematics. The CCSS defines the knowledge and skills students should take away from their K-12 schooling to be successfully prepared for postsecondary and career opportunities.
The Smarter Balanced Practice Tests allow teachers, students, parents, and other interested parties to experience the features of online testing and gain insight into how Smarter Balanced will assess students’ mastery of the Common Core.
We encourage you to take the practice test by following this link: http://www.smarterbalanced.org/pilot-test/

Thanks to all the parents and our kinder team that helped with this event and thanks to Ms. Rush for spearheading this awesome expression of appreciation to our police officers. Students spent time in four different stations to hear from the police officers about safety, SWAT vehicles, K-9 units, and the important role police officers play in helping our community! Special thanks to HydroFlask (water bottles), Vons (bagels, donuts, and water), Milton's Bakery, Salon Adair (gift cards), Famulare Jewelers (watch and battery) for donating gift items to our officers.
You can watch the news story here on cbs8.com. Thank you Ashley for sharing the good news with others!
