Monster Mash is Oct. 24th 5-8 PM. Admission is $15 at the door (good for the whole family to enter the dance). We also have games and activities that require tickets, which cost $.25 a piece. CCT will be performing in our media center at 5:30 PM and the costume contest takes place at 7 PM. Four food vendors will be on site and providing great tasting dinner items, snacks, and treats for a nominal fee.
VOLUNTEER at MONSTER MASH
We need many hands to make this event a success. Please consider helping with decorations, managing a booth, selling tickets, or helping to clean up. If you have a middle or high schooler who needs service hours, this is a great event for them to sign up to help!
DONATION DRIVE UPDATE
We have received close to $25K from our Donation Drive to pay for Art and P.E. classes each week. When we reach $30K, Mr. Tubbs will let the students design his next haircut with a #4 trimmer! At $35K, they get to use a #3 trimmer! Every amount donated helps us reach our goal. You can still send in a check or use the PayPal link found on our webpage: https://hope.schoolloop.com/DonationDrive

CLOTHES DONATIONS NEEDED
Our health office is in need of donated clothes. These items are used when we have a temporary need of a change of clothes (as when students find that ONE muddy spot on the field). The majority of the need is for Kindergarten - 2nd grade items, but we could always use sweats for grades 3 - 5. Just drop them off in the front/health office. Items needed include:
Shorts (with adjustable waistbands)
Interested in being part of the groups that support our school? Visit the webpages under the Parents tab to learn more about PTA, School Site Council, and Friends of Hope School. These groups are always looking for more volunteers to join their group to help support our school.
Your student has new standards to master! The Common Core State Standards offer schools, teachers, students and parents clear, understandable, and consistent standards in English language arts and mathematics. The CCSS defines the knowledge and skills students should take away from their K-12 schooling to be successfully prepared for postsecondary and career opportunities.
The Smarter Balanced Practice Tests allow teachers, students, parents, and other interested parties to experience the features of online testing and gain insight into how Smarter Balanced will assess students’ mastery of the Common Core.
We encourage you to take the practice test by following this link: http://www.smarterbalanced.org/pilot-test/
